Julio Torres

Résumé

Julio Torres. He started his Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering at The University of Texas at El Paso in August 2010. He is working in his thesis, which is entitled “Control of a prototype synergistic multi-axis robotic system”, under the advising of Dr. Thompson Sarkodie-Gyan from the Electrical and Computer Engineering department. His research project involves multiple disciplines such as: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering and Biomechanics. His main research interests include: Control Engineering, Linear Systems Analysis, Digital Control, Industrial Logic Control, Fuzzy Logic, Identification and Modern Control, Instrumentation for Measuring and Control, Industrial Networks, Manufacturing Systems Automation, Manufacturing Technologies, Parallel Mechanisms. His bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering and a specialization in Industrial Automation were obtained in December 2008, in Monterrey, Mexico. Currently, he is working in the Laboratory for Industrial Metrology and Automation, where he has fulfilled the position of Research Assistant. Also, he obtained a position of Teaching Assistant in the Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Chethan . "He's pursuing Master of Science (MS) in Electrical Engineering at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), El Paso, Texas, USA. He is working on his Master’s thesis, “Sensor-Based Robotic Learning system for the Rehabilitation of an Impaired Arm”, which is an automated system for the rehabilitation and measurement of a disabled upper extremity. As an enhancement to his practical experience, he had an internship opportunity as a Hardware Intern at “Intouch Health, Inc”, a medical robotics company where he worked on Embedded Systems, Electrical Circuits and Hardware Description Languages (HDL)."

Luis Gerardo Sagarnaga is Graduated as Electrical Engineer from Instituto Tecnologico De Chihuahua in 2008. He achieved work experience in Industry as a Design Engineer in Mexico.  He started Master Degree program at University of Texas At El Paso on fall 2009. He joined LIMA Lab during fall 2009 in order to learn and collaborate as much as he could. His thesis “Determination of Dynamic behavior of subjects with Diabetic Neuropathy” is an on-going research. Biomedical Engineering including human motion analysis, sensor fusion, and fuzzy logic is under the advising of Professor Thompson Sarkodie-Gyan.

Lily P. Aldana isa master’s student in engineering at The University of Texas at El Paso, Texas, USA since January 2011. Miss Aldana earned her Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from The University of Texas at El Paso, USA, in December 2004. After she received her Bachelor’s degree, she worked full-time as a system’s engineer at the General Motors in Kansas City, for over three years. Afterwards, she worked full-time as an EDS system’s engineer for almost two years.Currently, Miss Aldana has joined the laboratory for human motion analysis and neurorehabilitation to start her research in this area.
